Tutorspree is the easiest way to find a private tutor. Whether you're looking for help with middle school reading comprehension, AP science courses, college level statistics, or computer programming, Tutorspree has a standing by.
Who are your tutors?
Our tutors are professional teachers, test prep gurus, writers, grad students, language instructors, and educators with years of tutoring experience. Each of our tutors undergoes Tutorspree's internal screening process and a background check.
Where is Tutorspree available?
Our tutors conduct lessons throughout the United States and are predominantly located in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, and Washington D.C.

How does Tutorspree work?
Fill out a tutor request form or contact one of Tutorspree's Education Consultants and we will connect you with the perfect tutor.
Do you screen your tutors?
Yes. Every tutor on our site undergoes an internal review by a member of the Tutorspree team. Additionally, Tutorspree runs a background check on all of our tutors.
How much do your tutors cost?
Lesson prices vary depending on city, subject needed, and length of tutoring engagement. Tutorspree's rates are competitive and our large tutor base allows our Education Consultants to connect you with the perfect tutor.
Where do lessons take place
Lessons take place in students' homes, libraries, dorm rooms, and coffee shops. You can determine lesson location when speaking with an Education Consultant or tutor.
What if I'm not happy with my tutor?
If you are not completely satisfied with your first lesson, Tutorspree will gladly find you another tutor or refund your entire lesson purchase. Contact us within 24 hours after your initial lesson.
How do I book a lesson?
All lessons are booked with a Tutorspree Education Consultant through our site or over the phone.
Is payment required prior to meeting with a tutor?
Yes. We collect credit card info in order to put you in touch with your tutor.
Will I ever have to pay the tutor directly?
No. Tutorspree remits funds to our tutors after each lesson. Tutors are not allowed to collect funds directly from the client.
Can I speak with the tutor before I book the lesson?
Your tutor will contact you once your lessons have been scheduled and paid for.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept payments from Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. You also have the option to pay with a debit card or with PayPal. We do not accept payment by cash or check.

Why should I offer my services on Tutorspree?
Tutorspree helps tutors supplement their income by providing a network of students in need of high quality tutoring. Tutorspree markets your skills and helps you build a customer base so you can focus on what you do best: teaching.
How much does it cost to sign up as a tutor?
Free. It is free to sign up as a tutor on Tutorspree. A member of the Tutorspree team will review your application and call to schedule a phone interview if we think you're a good fit.
How do I schedule lessons?
A Tutorspree Education Consultant helps you schedule lessons through the Tutorspree interface.
How much will I be paid?
Pay rates are based on instructor experience, subject, and location. Our top tutors make $1,000- $2,000 a month on a part time basis.
How does payment work?
Tutorspree acts as a secure party and accepts payments on behalf of the tutor and remits funds to the tutor after a lesson. Tutors are not permitted to accept cash from a parent or student.

How do I create a profile?

Why is my profile not showing up on Tutorspree?
All profiles must be reviewed by a member of the Tutorspree team before it goes live on the site. A member of the Tutorspree team will contact you if we think you'd be a great fit.
What are the contract details I need to know?
Working with Tutorspree is non-exclusive. That means you can still work for other companies or find students on your own.
Having Tutorspree students to pay you on the side violates the tutor contract and will result in a tutor removed from the Tutorspree community.
Cancellation Policy
Canceling a lesson
If you need to cancel a lesson with your tutor, you must do so 24 hours in advance. If you cancel within 24 hours, the lesson will be charged as initially booked. In order to cancel a lesson you must notify your tutor and your education consultant.
Canceling a package
Each of your packages is covered by the Tutorspree Guarantee - if after your first hour you are in any way unsatisfied, we'd be happy to find you a new tutor at no extra charge, or to provide you with a full refund. Following your first lesson, you are committed to finishing the remainder of your package. If you choose not to continue, the funds paid will be held as a credit for future lessons. No refunds will be issued for unused lessons.
