About Me
I'm a current PhD student in English language & literature at the University of Maryland, College Park, I graduated with my B.A. (summa cum laude) in English from West Virginia University, and I received my M.A. in English from Ohio State University. I have taught first-year composition at the college level and have received sufficient training to do so. In addition, I have participated in several editing projects at different levels, and I have assisted in college essay preparation (including graduate school application materials). I have an incredible passion for teaching--particularly the one-on-one experience of conferencing with a student to improve the student's writing.
I have taught both native English speakers and English-as-a-second-language students, and I have consistently received high evaluation scores. I was also nominated for a first-year teaching award at OSU.
