About Me

Howdy! Thank you for looking at my profile! I'm currently an English major with a focus in 20th century American poetry. So in addition to whatever you may like to study, if you'd like to learn something about Elizabeth Bishop or Sylvia Plath, I have a few things to share!
However, mainly I am eager to help students with their reading and writing skills; in particular I can help with close reading, critical and analytical thinking, literary analysis, expository and creative writing - the whole slew of English-related (and incredibly important) skills to hone. I can help with essay writing, from conception to revision to style. I'm also more than happy to help with SAT preparations.
I started tutoring middle and high school students as a Junior in high school, so I have some experience with working one-on-one. Tutoring is a great experience and I get excited just thinking about helping someone learn something. Brains are such miracles!
In addition to English I can also help in math, up to calculus, and spanish.
I have limited means of transportation so unless you are in walking distance, ideally I would meet you somewhere close by, in a cafe or coffee shop, or at your home if you live in the area.
