About Me
Hi! I'm Prashanth, and I am a junior at MIT studying physics.
Since 10th grade, I have been tutoring fellow students through various avenues. I took on a fairly large role in my school's Physics Club in tutoring other students in physics - this includes on-level and honors-level physics, as well as AP Physics C (both Mechanics and E&M;). I also tutored other students in my high school extensively through my school's chapters of the National Honors Society and Science National Honors Society. Since entering college, I have continued to tutor other high school students online.
I have earned a 2260 on the SAT, along with 800 on the Math Level II, 800 on the Chemistry, 780 on the Biology M, and 770 on the Physics SAT Subject Tests, respectively. Furthermore, I have earned a score of '5' on six AP exams.
I enjoy tutoring because I like seeing other students truly understand and appreciate what they learn, especially when the material is presented from many different angles. Furthermore, tutoring allows me to present material through a different perspective and think about what I have learned a little harder, and learning is inherently a collaborative process, so everybody wins through tutoring.
