About Me
With an M.A. in International Affairs, over four years and 4,500+ hours of formal experience teaching English, a research background in academia, the United Nations, and the nonprofit sector, a B.A. in Humanities and Spanish, and ample experience living, studying, and working abroad, I have expertise in such topics as economics, history, sociology, philosophy, political science, international relations, environmental science, English writing, career development, business (marketing, management, finance), college prep, and test prep (SAT, TOEFL, GRE). Since 2010, I have been teaching business English 20 hours/week at Rennert Bilingual, one of the premier language academies in New York City. Prior to that, I also had extensive experience giving private and group lessons to children, teens, and adults in South Korea, Spain, and the US. I put great care into tailoring lessons that address the specific needs of my students and which maximize results. Whether my client be a businessperson looking to improve their presentation skills, an 18-year old looking to prepare for college, a high schooler who needs help with their sociology class, or a middle schooler who needs to develop their expository writing skills, I am able to help them meet their educational goals. I have taught students from many countries and am able to speak Spanish, French, Italian, and basic Korean.
