New York NY, 91606
I'm currently heading into my 5th year of teaching. I attended Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY for my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education and received my Master's Degree in the Learning Disabilities program at Hunter College. I am a certified grades 1-6 teacher in general and special education. I have experience in all elementary grades and subjects as I have been working as a tutor/teacher since age 13. I have worked with special education students with a wide range of disabilities (autistm spectrum, emotionally disturbed, learning disabled, physically disabled, etc.). I have taught 1st, 3rd, and 4th grade in CTT and self contained settings. I currently teach at a high performing charter school in Harlem. I have previously taught in the NYCDOE. I love finding new ways for students to learn best, whether it be visually, hands-on, or otherwise. It's all about what YOU need to do your best. I have a great deal of patience and love working to help others succeed! I am young, energetic, and ready to help! I currently live on the Upper East Side and I am willing to commute to most Manhattan (including Harlem and Washington Heights) locations! I am currently available evenings, Monday-Thursday.
