About Me
I am a graduate of the University of Virginia in Psychology and Anthropology. I am currently offering individualized tutoring to meet the needs of students with and without special learning needs.
I have spent the last six years tutoring; four of which were spent operating a tutoring company specializing in one-on-one work with students looking to bolster their academic standing. The majority of my students were ADD/ADHD and or dyslexic, while two of them were diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorders. My experience is broad, ranging from pre-K math and reading to college-level writing, sciences, and mathematics. In addition, my own experience as a University of Virginia student with learning disabilities has informed my alternative teaching styles which have proven effective for my students.
Given my personal and professional experience, I am confident that I will contribute to each student's academic growth while honoring their individual needs. It is my aim that each student realizes his or her own strength that they may walk confidently through their obstacles without losing sight of their true potential.
