About Me

I am an energetic person who loves to laugh and feels that it is very important to make learning fun. I hold my BA in English from UC Irvine and my MFA in Screenwriting from UCLA, which qualifies me to teach reading and writing, although I do believe I could branch out into history, given that a degree in English focuses on historical movements. I have experience in teaching while at UCLA. I taught a ten week screenwriting class to 20 undergraduates and met with a lot of my students one on one in order to give more in-depth notes on their screenplays. I walked away from this teaching experience hungry to teach again, as I found that I was quite good at it and that it truly made me happy. There is no better feeling than seeing someone finally understand something that, before your tutelage, they were unable to grasp. This, above everything else, is why I am looking to tutor.
