About Me
Hi! I have been teaching and tutoring in some capacity for roughly 6 years now. I got my undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in 2008. During my time there I tutored 3rd and 5th grade students in Hebrew at BJEP (Brandeis's Hebrew School) and taught Hebrew school twice a week at Congregation Or Atid. I moved to NY after graduating and enrolled in a masters program at Bank Street College. I recently graduated with a masters in teaching middle school and and in museum education. While at Bank Street I student taught in various 5th and 7th grade general studies classes, taught 3rd grade Hebrew School at B'nai Jeshurun and tutored 2 girls, (3rd and 5th grade) in Hebrew and Judaic studies. I have also had education related internships at The Museum of Jewish Heritage and at the Museum of Arts and Design. Currently I am working as an assistant teacher full time at SAR Academy- a private modern orthodox Jewish day school in Riverdale. I teach 4th and 6th grade general studies and tutor two 5th graders in Hebrew and Judaic studies on the side. Lastly, I have a love of teaching and working with kids in general. I've been a camp counselor, a dance teacher, a tutor and a teacher and I've loved it all. I also spent a year in Israel before attending Brandeis and a semester studying abroad my junior year in Prague. My travels and studies have fed my passion for teaching social studies, Jewish history and Judaic studies in general.
