I am an SAT NUT (and a Jeopardy Champion). By paying attention to my students' unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, I design customized, effective SAT strategies that give me an industry-beating score improvement record. As the Director of Curriculum Development I helped design the entire SAT curriculum of Odyssey Prep, one of the most popular SAT tutoring firms in Manhattan, and my methods have been taught to nearly 1,000 students. I have worked with students in New York and across the U.S. as well as in China, Australia, and Korea.

In addition to tutoring I am also currently in the middle of writing a new SAT book to be published in 2012. In my "spare time", I am a PhD student working on English Literature at Berkeley. I received a BA from Columbia University in 2006, where I graduated on the Dean's List and with two separate Departmental Honors. Before I met Peter I thought I would never be able to take a standardized test, and do well. He helped me raise my score over three hundred points. Not once during our two hour sessions did I find myself bored and day dreaming. Peter is engaging and his SAT comics got me excited to do SAT work. It was clear that he really cared about me doing well and he was even willing to Skype with me when he moved from New York to California. I would strongly recommend Peter to anyone who is looking for an inspirational and caring tutor.

Peter worked with my daughter, Jacqueline, to increase her SAT scores. When she took them for the second time after working with Peter, we were so happy with how much they increased. As a result, my daughter has gotten into the 3 colleges she has applied to and all 3 have offered her substantial scholarships. Jacqueline worked well with Peter online. He took the time to get to know her strengths and weaknesses to come up with an effective way of using the material to improve her scores. If one approach was not working, he would try another. Peter is extremely intelligent and has a definite rapport with the students he tutors. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for results in increasing their SAT scores.

Peter gives the best ways of approaching the SAT. The various strategies he taught me to avoid the pitfalls and obstacles of the exam made a huge difference. It really gives greater command of the material and the test-taking process, and is a nice confidence-booster. My score greatly improved (700 points!) thanks to his help!
