About Me

This September I will begin my 16th year teaching in NYC, and I have taught and tutored students of a variety of ages and abilities. My experience includes working with students with special needs, ELL students, and also preparing students for standardized tests including the SAT, ELA Regents, NYS ELA and Math Exams, and the Specialized High School Exam.

My primary subject and license area is English/ELA, and I enjoy and have shown success at improving students' reading and writing skills both in the classroom and one-on-one as a tutor. I take my work seriously and sincerely care for the students I teach. I teach on the Upper West Wide and live in downtown Brooklyn so I am inclined to tutor in areas that are convenient to reach from my job or home. I can also be available for some weekend tutoring sessions with advanced notice. Thank you.
