About Me
Hi! After graduating from Brown University last year, I currently attend the University of Chicago as a graduate student, studying History. My master's thesis is on Shaykh Uthman dan Fodio's jihad. I work with the University of Chicago Neighborhood Schools Program (NSP) as a Teacher's Assistant. During the regular school year, while with NSP, I worked at my former middle school, tutoring 7th grade Social Science and English. I also assisted a teacher for a college prep course. Now, I tutor high school students for summer school. On the weekends I teach Arabic and Islamic Studies to students from Pre-K through high school. In the past, I was an English as Second Language instructor. I am a native speaker of Hausa.
