About Me
I am a 3rd year physics graduate student at Stanford University. I have taught 4 courses, which include the three primary physics intro level courses. I will be teaching upper-level electricity and magnetism next quarter, and I am comfortable tutoring in all high school and undergraduate level physics. I am also interested in tutoring high school math, and will tutor most physics-relevant math classes from college undergrad.
I love teaching, especially on a one-to-one basis. Here I can gauge the student's understanding, so that I can establish what they're struggling with and help them work through these topics. I feel that my strength is being able to explain things in a simple and intuitive way, especially through the use of diagrams and personally-tuned problems. I love seeing a student's frustration turn to satisfaction - when they realize that physics, which they thought was a list of equations, can become an intuitive, systematic, and elegant way to approach problems.
