About Me

I am a teacher with 10 years of experience in the classroom.  I tutor using the Barton Reading and Spelling System which is a systematic, multi-sensory,  Orton-Gillingham based program designed to help struggling readers.  My students have seen great growth even when other interventions have not proven successful for them.  I absolutely love working with these students who are so creative and often gifted in other areas and just need specific therapy in reading to close the gap for them.  I have seen this program's level of effectiveness at work, and I am fortunate to be able to bring it to the students who need more than the standard method of reading instruction.
