About Me

Hello! My name is Andrea and I have been teaching on Long Island for the past 8 years. I have experience in both the primary and intermediate grades on the elementary level. I obtained my M.A. in Elementary education from Adelphi University and am certified in grades K-6. Throughout the course of my career I have had the pleasure of teaching a variety of students with different educational needs and learning styles. As a teacher, it is my goal to find out what makes my students tick and to motivate them to become lifelong learners. As a tutor, I help my students with reading comprehension skills, writing mechanics, math skills, homework, test preparation and study skills.
