I am a former second grade teacher and I love working one-on-one with my students. Having the chance to really explain a topic on the student's level and make sure he or she understands is so rewarding. Nothing is as valuable as that "lightbulb moment!" I am a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where I studied Child Development and Photography. I have 5 years of experience working with children and youth in various settings. I have experience working with diverse populations, including special needs students and English language learners. I live in Northern Virginia and I am willing to travel to Washington, D.C. for sessions.
