About Me
I am extremely passionate about education and the arts! My previous teaching and theatrical experiences have enabled me to develop highly effective instructional techniques and engaging lessons that provide students with the space necessary to express themselves creatively, further develop their language arts, social studies, and science skills, and raise their interpersonal awareness by viewing the world through various lenses.
I make it a priority to meet each student's unique needs by developing a personal understanding of every individual learner and adapting my lessons accordingly. I use my skills as a theatre practitioner to encourage students to find a deeper understanding of and appreciation for literature, history, and science.
I have worked as both a teacher and tutor throughout San Diego, CA and New York City and love working with students of all ages and abilities! In New York City, I have designed and executed lessons at schools such as Little Red Schoolhouse, Lower Manhattan Arts Academy (LoMA), Frank Sinatra School of the Arts High School, P.S. 3, P.S. 64, and P.S. 29Q. My time working at these schools has allowed me to become familiar with academically and culturally diverse students, as well as New York State education standards. I look forward to working with you and your child and thank you for viewing my profile.
