About Me

I graduated from Harvard with a major in literature and am currently completing my Masters at Columbia. My skills are mainly in reading and writing, and I have tutored in those subjects across the board: high school and university literature curricula, composition and essay, college application, and of course, test prep! Between degrees, I worked in Seoul, Korea for about two years, mastering SAT, SSAT, ESL, ACT test prep teaching methods for large classrooms and private students. I use all of my own material. I do extensive work with the college consulting process, specializing in brainstorming, collaborating, and editing the college essay.

Because of the nature of my strengths, I have worked mostly with high school and college students. However, I have tutored as young as middle school and have edited dissertations and medical school application essays for older clients as well. It is important for me to meet the student before beginning lessons to make sure that the student and I will have no problems working together. :) I am available to work in New York or northern New Jersey, as well as online through video.
