About Me
To start, I am so eager to bring my experiences as a scholar, artist, and teacher to my work with youth. I am impassioned by the belief that education should be an inherently directive and transformative process rooted in dialogue, reflection, and communication and that education can be an equalizer in society. That being said, I know first hand that students' individual needs are often not considered or addressed in the traditional classroom and this is why individualized one-on-one instruction can be so valuable. I'm excited to bring the potency of rigor, flexibility, fun, creativity, and the freedom to craft, construct, wonder, and venture to my students' work so that they are equipped to approach the school day with more content knowledge as well as skills to adapt their classroom experiences to their own learning needs!
I pride myself on being a hard worker, having a fun personality, and having a wealth of relatable and applicable experiences to my role as a tutor and mentor!
