About Me
I am currently an MFA graduate student at the New School in creative writing, non-fiction. I have a Bachelors of Arts from UCI in Literary Journalism and History. I have loved teaching and tutoring for as long as I can remember. In undergrad, I joined Humanities Out There, where we went to underprivileged high schools and taught English grammar and literature. I also have experience teaching older students (adults) as well as younger students (8-9 years old). Each student is unique, so I try to tailor my lessons to suit them. I also have my California Basic Education Skills Test (CBEST) certificate, which demonstrates my proficiency in writing, math, and reading.
