Brookline, MA Tutor

About Me

Hi, I have just moved to Brookline from Manhattan, where I completed my B.A. in Art History and Judaic Studies at Stern College. I am currently teaching at Temple Israel Hebrew School in Longwood and hoping to return back to school soon to get my Masters in Education. I have been tutoring for the past 6 years and feel that my enthusiastic personality, my knowledge in specific subjects, and my love for education, have enabled me to succeed with each student in a different way. Throughout my college career, I was an assistant to the classroom teacher at The Roberto Clemente School, an inner city school in Manhattan, helping instruct first and second graders in math, writing and reading by providing personalized attention to slower learners so that they could catch up and strengthen their study and listening skills. Furthermore, my leadership roles while at Stern College, as an Advisor for the New Jersey region NCSY (a Jewish youth organization) and a Campus Coordinator for YACHAD (a special needs organization), have prepared me well for relating to different types of children of all ages according to their needs. Throughout these leadership positions I have been challenged to be creative, nurturing, and most of all patient. It is my goal to combine my range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, enthusiastic, and intelligent tutor. I look forward to meeting you and working with you.
