About Me

After having a really great time being a gradstudent, doing research in theoretical quantum chromodynamics, and with 2+ years of teaching undergraduate physics (over 384 hours of being at the blackboard in front of 30 students, over 480 students) I moved to San Francisco for a job as a Java and Web developer. Through projects at my work I developed a solid knowledge of front end CSS, JavaScript, HTML as well as back-end Java and Ruby on Rails. I love applying my teaching experience to helping people get really good, be it web/programming/math/physics, with as least amount of intellectual effort on your part as possible. That way you can use all your mental energy to get even better!

Max has been fantastic. Really flexible, friendly, and knowledgable. Going to finish off this session, and then possibly buy another depending on how I feel on this midterm!

Max is not only highly skilled and broadly knowledgeable about web technologies, he 's also great at paitently explaining the concepts and making me explain them back to him until we 're sure that I 've understood. A natural teacher and incredibly flexible and accommodating. Highly recommended.
