About Me

Hi, I am a PhD candidate and I have a passion for teaching and standing for my students abilities. My academic qualifications include a Master's Degree in American Studies from and a PhD Degree in Political Science (defense December 2011) from New School University in NYC . I have tutored ever since my sophomore year in college and also taught college social sciences and humanities. I love teaching so I dedicate my doctoral years teaching at various universities around the city such as New york University, New School. Hunter College, Pratt Institute and Dowling College. Also, I have worked with high school students as well as with gifted students enhancing their skills and knowledge. Any situation is great with me, from ornery teens to people going back to school after years of being away to home-schooling. Call me for tutoring in any subject at any level of social science (History, Geography, Politics, Philosophy) and TOEFL preparation. I am also a very good Spanish speaker and a native speaker of Romanian. I feel that the success of my students is my success, and that is why I care so much and try to teach in the most fun, exciting, patient and encouraging way!
