About Me
I graduated in 2010 from Dartmouth College with a degree in Religious Studies. I have always been passionate about teaching and learning, and I began tutoring in NYC immediately after graduation.
I have tutoring experience in many fields including English (reading, writing, literature), History (US, European, World), Latin, Essay Writing and ESL. I am currently a Humanities tutor at Harlem Village Academy
High School, where I work with 11th and 12th graders in Literature and
History. I consider the tutor's job to be not only assisting students with specific assignments but also to build the skills, confidence, and organizational methods necessary for success both inside and outside the classroom. I have found that my strengths and personality are particularly
suited to the work of a tutor. I communicate clearly and eloquently,
have extensive knowledge in a range of subjects, and am a genuine and
approachable person.
In the past year I have become passionate about tutoring, and derive
great satisfaction from helping students succeed and gain confidence in
their work and life.
