About Me
Nothing brightens my day more than helping a student reach that "aHA! i get it!" moment. I teach for comprehension, not memorization or recipes (although I recognize their occasional necessity), and I'm a big believer in teaching by example and demonstration. Throughout my academic career I have tutored many students through college math courses of all levels, as well as overseeing large-scale classroom demonstrations for introductory physics courses. I have had a few opportunities to tutor high-school students through math and science and am excited for more of these opportunities.
Although I have been busy completing my thesis for the past couple semester and unavailable for tutoring; I'm eager to get back into the swing of teaching.
Personality-wise I'm easy-going, light-hearted, and *extremely* patient; typically a good match for students who may be easily frustrated or overwhelmed. And, yes, I have a very asymmetrical haircut; do not be alarmed.
