I have my Master's Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from New York University. I have four years of teaching experience; I spent three years teaching high school Algebra and Geometry and then one year teaching 6th grade math. I am currently teaching math in the East Village. One of my specialties (and passions) is presenting traditionally boring or confusing mathematical concepts in ways that are both engaging and exciting. I love to incorporate kinesthetic, visual, and auditory methods into my teaching. I also love to teach using manipulatives I love tutoring because it allows me to focus on the specific goals and needs of individual students, something that is nearly impossible in the classroom setting! It is incredibly satisfying to make a student feel successful, particularly in math which tends to be such a struggle for students.
