About Me
I very successfully taught English Literature and English-As-A-Second-Language(ESL) at Eagle Rock High School in Los Angeles for 15 years. My students, including those with special needs and language deficits, improved greatly in their scores, speaking ability, and college-readiness during my tenure. Additionally, I have been a Special Education(Autism/Down-Syndrome etc.) Teacher's Assistant as a "side career," at Almansor Academy for Special Needs Students in South Pasadena, and I have a son with Autism. He is "Awe-tistic"(like awesome). Moreover, as a bilingual Spanish-speaking Instructor, I have taught ESL and done Accent-Reduction with adult school audiences in the Wilshire District and San Gabriel Valley, and have traveled extensively through nine foreign countries. I graduated from California State University with a BA and a California Teaching Credential in English, and the Instruction of Limited-English Speakers(ESL). My students have "A-bilities," NEVER "Dis-abilities."
