About Me
My name is Loren Berman and I originally hail from Los Angeles, California. I have been in New York for three years now and am currently a senior in the Joint Program between Columbia University and the Jewish Theological Seminary. I will be finishing up my undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Judaic Studies this upcoming February. I enjoy traveling around the world, the performing arts, martial arts and self-defense, as well as all things cinnamon. I am passionate about teaching and learning and I feel comfortable doing so with my knowledge of a variety of different disciplines ranging from Psychology and Judaic Studies, to Mathematics and Science, to Reading Comprehension and Writing. I have extensive experience teaching students formally (classroom) and informally (camp environment, experiential learning) from ages 9 and 10 through 17 and am more than willing and prepared to teach all ages and levels. I am young, energetic, have a fervor for education and love imparting that energy and excitement onto all those with whom I interact, especially my students.
