About Me

My name is Christie, and I'm currently finishing up my last year as a Music Education major at Rutgers University. Teaching music is what I love to do! I have experience teaching music in a variety of ways, from teaching clarinet to elementary school students, to writing and implementing lesson plans for a 7th grade band for a year, to coaching a high school marching band, to tutoring my peers in sight-singing, music dictation, and music theory. My favorite challenge is explaining music in terms that anyone can understand. I think everyone should be able to understand and participate in music making.
