What is good writing? As the student of great authors and critics at Harvard University, I was able to arrive at an answer: Good writing is the pursuit of beauty through transparency. In other words, writers succeed as artists only when their writing is a clear map of their thinking process. As a journalist, editor, poet, critic, and teacher, I can help students ensure that their writing has both form and content, that it reads well and makes sense. I have tutored students of all ages extensively in writing for class, applications, and standardized testing. My passion is not only good writing, but also helping others see that good writing is within their grasp.
