About Me

I've worked with students aged 6-13 at a variety of formal and actual grade levels. As well we know, a student can be labeled for a specific grade but have academic needs that fall above and unfortunately below the Common Standards requirements. As an educator, my goal is to meet each student where they are and create a specific itinerary for a successful academic journey. I am an educational travel agent for learning destinations! My job demands that I critically analyze and choose texts will teach students of all levels all the skills that good readers must possess.

In addition to my teaching skills, I am a visual and computer graphics artist. I try to blend both my dedication to education and my love of art into my teaching approaches. I've created and taught printmaking and bookmaking workshops for children. I also created an exit project unit in which my eighth grade students designed and published their own magazines for their exit project.
