About Me
I am currently studying Political Science and Sociology at Columbia University. I love teaching, and I think the opportunity to get one-on-one practice and assistance can be crucial to the learning process, as well as being great for personal encouragement that may not get priority in classroom settings. I have experience working with students on SAT prep, but I most enjoy tutoring math and english at an elementary and middle school level. Last summer I created and orchestrated a summer education program in South Florida for special needs children, and currently I volunteer as a reading tutor and an art teacher at a local Upper West Side high school. There is nothing more rewarding to me, nor any better sign of success than the look of absolute excitement and pride on a student's face when they finally get it!
