About Me
I completed my Ph.D. recently and have since left academia. As a graduate student I spent time as a teacher, teaching assistant and a tutor. I quite enjoyed working with students and now I find I miss it. I've worked with students at many levels, elementary school (after school tutoring program) all the way up to undergraduate courses (teaching calculus, differential equations, linear algebra and introduction to proofs).
My teaching philosophy centers around the fact that everyone can do math once they view it from the proper perspective. Most mathematical concepts can be explained in several different ways, and the way that makes the most sense varies from student to student. If I can find the way that resonates with you everything becomes easier and hopefully even fun. I view tutoring as my opportunity to help you find the right perspective for you.
