About Me

I am a Master of Fine Arts candidate in Fiction at Adelphi University. I graduated from Rutgers University with a BA in English and Art History. For the past two years I've taught undergraduate creative writing as an Adjunct Professor at Adelphi University. My students studied and produced works of fiction, poetry, dramatic writing and creative nonfiction. Three years ago I co-founded a New York City based creative writing workshop that continues to meet bi-monthly to read and discuss original works. I'm passionate about teaching and studying literature, as well as history, specifically United States history and the Cold War. Having minored in Art History as an undergraduate, I am fascinated by the connection between political, economic, and social histories with the creation of art. My teaching philosophy is centered around this interdisciplinary appreciation of human creation.
