About Me

Are you scared of writing? History? Facts? Don't worry, most people are -- even good writers. Sometimes, it's hard to figure out what is being asked, and even harder to figure out what, if anything, you have to say in response. But it can be done! I can help you learn to be less afraid of English and History so that you too can write like a professional. I hold a BA in English Literature, as well as a law degree. In short, I write for a living and have have written for all audiences: teachers, professors, bosses, judges -- even members of the United States Congress. I'm also an extremely patient teacher and have experience both tutoring and teaching students of all levels, although I have taught primarily on the high school level. Presently, I'm working as Special Education teacher in the Greater Boston area through Teach for America. I know what teachers want because I've worked as one! As the first person in my family born in the United States, I also know what it means to struggle with English, and I know that the first step to improving one's writing is to learn to be less afraid! This process takes time, and yet, time is precisely what you feel like you don't have! "Oh no! This paper is due TOMORROW!!!!!!!!! What am I going to do?!?" You're going to message me. The rest, we will figure out together.
