About Me
My name is Mel and I am a Pure Mathematics student at NJCU in Jersey City, NJ. I graduate in May with my Bachelor's degree and then I will apply to a chemistry master's program in the fall. I enjoy math and science and I am eager to spread my passion to my students.
I have successfully tutored students as young as eleven years old and as old as fifty in subjects ranging from algebra to differential equations, and I we have all got along quite well, and they have all seen significant improvement in their understanding of the coursework.
My favorite students are eager to learn and are very positive.
My role model as a teacher is my Abstract Algebra professor, who was always cheerful and humorous, but always objective and able to push his students far beyond what they thought their limits were.
