About Me

I have a PhD in chemistry and over seven years of tutoring and teaching experience at the high school and college level. As often as possible I like to teach using real-world examples and analogies in order to give you another way to think about the lesson--trust me, I know that chemistry books can be confusing! Plus it will show you that chemistry really is happening all around us.

Being patient, an excellent listener and having a thorough understanding of common mistakes that students make are attributes that have made me a successful tutor in the past, and I'm confident that I'll be be able to help you with your chemistry as well!

Here are some personal thank you notes that I received from some of my past chemistry students:

"Just wanted to let you know that you are a wonderful T.A.! I'm so grateful for all the help you have given me throughout the semester. You were very patient and a good teacher. Chemistry is very difficult for me to understand and you helped me week after week with this task. I don't know if I could have made it without your help!" -Andrea

"Just wanted to say thanks for all the Much Needed help this semester! You definitely helped me do well in chemistry this semester!" -Brent

"Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put in for me. I really appreciate it and if it weren't for you I would not been able to get a good grade." - Katie
