About Me
• Graduate, with highest honors, with focus on Neuroscience & Behavior • Passion for spreading the enthusiasm of learning, even tedious topics, to others • Much experience with making study plans that work for students with ADD/ADHD • Friendly, compassionate, dedicated, and personable! Really, don’t let the bullet pointed list fool you – students learn easily from me because I’m approachable. • Recognized skill for teaching, especially in advanced writing and high-division sciences • My hope is to be able to give students not only the help they need with subject matter, but teach the skills and further the confidence needed to be able to go forward and tackle difficult material on their own -- and succeed. • Why tutor?: One of the reasons that I feel compelled to teach is because great teachers bring relevance and interest into topics that may have otherwise seemed uninspiring or irrelevant. When interviewing potential students, I emphasize the need to gather background information to make my lesson plans most effective for each student’s situation, taking into account learning strengths/weaknesses, time constraints, and budget.
