I am a passionate and caring teacher who has been teaching in New York City independent schools for the past 8 years, though I have been working with children in various forms and settings continuously since high school. I have a Master's in Education and Museum Education and am certified to teach children birth through sixth grade. I have a great deal of experience working with elementary age children in reading, math, and writing both in the classroom and in tutoring situations. Many of the students I have worked with have special needs. I also have several years of experience working with high school students as they refine their writing skills.
