About Me
I am a freelance writer within the business and education sector. I love what I do as it enable me to be constantly learning and meeting new people. I do miss working with students and watching them build new skills and knowledge, along with the self confidence. Although my formal teaching experience has been as an elementary teacher, I have also facilitated many workshops and seminars for an adult population and worked as a writing tutor for undergraduate and graduate students while enrolled at Hunter College. I would very much welcome the opportunity to work with diverse age groups as each presents unique challenges for tutors. My areas of particular strength include English Language arts (of course!), social studies, basic math, and general biology, genetics, and neuropsychology (a bit off the beaten path but a subject that I continue ot find of great interest.
I believe all students can learn but not all students learn in the same way! I think it is the job of educators to learn the particular leaning preferences of each student and then adjust the lesson so that s/he may experience success!
I have also been a Career Coach and provided clients with advice regarding college and graduate school admission and have assisted clients in preparing admission essays.
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions and I look forward to working with you!
