About Me
I am a CU Denver graduate as of winter 2011. I obtained my bachelors degree in psychology, communications, and I have a certificate in public relations.
My must-have component of a career is the satisfaction that can only come from helping others; hence why I chose psychology. I chose communications because I love language and the power that it really holds.
I am interested in tutoring for a few reasons. Most importantly, it's that moment in time that marks the look of wonder and confusion fading, being replaced by a solidified understanding of a concept. Tutoring promises the empowering feeling of satisfaction that comes from conquering, with your acquired knowledge, the once baffling lesson or impossible math problem.
Secondly, I love kids, youth, children, and anyone that has yet to reach adult status by default. I believe that investing time and passionate efforts can only yield good results.
I have a 13 year old son who attends Galileo Middle School. He has always been advanced and in Gifted and Talented, etc. He has never needed much help but when he does I believe that he comes to me knowing that I'll be able to help him understand things.
I believe in paying it forward.
