About Me
I am a head kindergarten teacher at The Chapin School, an independent school in Manhattan. I absolutely love teaching and helping every student meet and surpass their potential through encouragement and individualized support.
After earning my dual bachelor's degree in American studies and drama from Kenyon College, I joined Teach for America and served as a kindergarten teacher in the South Bronx while completing my master's degree in early childhood education from Pace University. I also served as a kindergarten-2nd grade reading intervention teacher and as the 5th and 6th grade drama coach. I then went on to teach kindergarten and serve as the elementary dean of students at Excellence Boys Charter School in Brooklyn.
I genuinely believe that all children can learn. By making things fun and engaging, students not only learn challenging content, but gain a love for learning!
