About Me

I am a certified secondary school English teacher in the state of Maryland. I have experience teaching 9th grade English and social studies in Harford County and marketing management courses at Goldey Beacom College in Wilmington. For the last four years I have received tutoring assignments from CLUB Z TUTORS in southeastern Pennsylvania and northeastern Maryland. I am presently working with a fourth grade student in Oxford, PA for two hours a week but in past semesters, I have been assigned tutoring work with as many as six persons in a marketing period. Previous work experience also is in radio station management and real estate. I am a teacher now due to a long term interest in working with young people and helping them learn. Despite the CLUB Z employment I have many hours available during the week and week end for additional tutoring. I live in Aberdeen, Maryland and enjoy the ssuburban/small town atmosphere but I travel frequently to metropolitan areas of Baltimore, Wilmington, and Philadelphia with distance not being a factor. I enjoy fifties rock and roll and present day pop music with a favorite singer being Bruce Springsteen. Other interests including science and physics with Stephen Hawing being a favorite writer. I have three children,a son who is a corporate lawyer with the Venable law firm in Baltimore, a daughter who works in team operations with the Boston Celtics development basketball team, the Maine Red Claws, in Portland, Maine, and another daughter who is graduate admissions director at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland. My wife is a nurse. I am available for tutoring and feel comfortable working in any grade and in any subject. Jason Pate
