About Me

Hi! My name is Rachel.  I love working with all types of people, especially the younger children who are embarking on their academic career, helping them set a strong foundation for the years to come.  I would love to help your child with his/her homework while simultaneously acting as a mentor and friend.

A little bit about me: I went to college at Syracuse University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Advertising.  During my time in college, I participated in a variety of activities such as managing an after school tutoring/mentoring program for young children as well as acting as a student peer advisor for incoming freshman students.  I also studied abroad in London and traveled extensively, as I have always enjoyed learning about other cultures around the world.

Since college, I have spent a handful of years working in the marketing field and I also went to graduate school for a Masters degree in International Marketing from Saint Joseph's University where I graduated with the Academic Achievement Award.  During that time, I also traveled to 4 countries and led student open house sessions as the representative from the graduate program.

After graduating, I moved back to New York City and worked as a Marketing Manager for a year.  I recently left that role to pursue a side business, and with this change, I'm looking to become a part-time tutor.

I have always loved working with people and taking on a mentoring/leadership role, so I hope to provide that to you or your children.  I am incredibly patient, friendly and hardworking and look forward to discussing tutoring opportunities with you.
