About Me
I am a second year law student with a passion for learning. I am fluent in French and Haitian Creole (both my native languages), proficient in Spanish and American Sign Language, and currently learning Brazilian Portuguese. My mother is an educator, and I was taught from an early age about the importance of education and the importance of diligence in its pursuit. As a result, I tested in the top 2% of my standardized tests for the majority of my K-12 education, the top 10% on the SAT, ACT, and LSAT, and I am a published writer, of both creative and scholarly material. But, more importantly what I learned from my mother is the importance of a teacher who cares, and knows how to engage the student so that they are actively invested in the learning process. I believe in a classroom environment the includes activities, projects, discussion and fun in order to keep each lesson meaningful and memorable. One of my favorite lesson plans involved doll making as part of an ESL program.
After working as an admissions assistant for 3 years at one of the top liberal arts schools in the country, I have gained a lot of insight into what schools are really looking for, and it's probably not what you'd expect! So, let me help you or your child have fun, learn something new, develop important skills, and get into the school that best fits your needs!
