About Me
I have an MA in the History of Art from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London, with a specialization in Classical and Byzantine Art. I wrote my dissertation on the connection between Byzantine church art, early Islamic art, and the design motifs used in the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem. In addition to being interested in these areas, I also am fascinated by Renaissance art. As an undergraduate, I wrote my senior thesis on Lorenzo Lotto's "Venus and Cupid." I am well versed in numerous other areas of art history, such as Contemporary Art, Nineteenth Century Art, Asian Art, and Gothic Art. I have also studied in Rome and traveled to a multitude of places around the world to pursue my passion of learning about the art of various cultures. My goal as a tutor is to not only aid the student in learning, but also to show them how exciting and fun art history can be!
