About Me

I graduated from Johns Hopkins in 2007. I studied math and economics but also took a number of English classes. In fact, I majored in math because it was my weakest subject. After graduating I worked in a number of industries, including telecom, energy trading and consulting. I've taught myself several computer programming languages including Excel VBA and SQL during that time. I am passionate about learning and teaching. I think a part of this is due to my international upbringing. As someone who grew up in the United States, Europe and Asia, I found myself constantly trying to explain and understand different  culture. This experience of trying to understand a foreign culture and then explaining it to others is a constant process but one that is deeply rewarding. My experiences with tutoring have been quite similar. There is a similar satisfaction when something alien and foreign, whether it be a math theorem or understanding cultural differences, is clearly understood and no longer frightening.
I am an excellent test taker. I was in the highest percentile possible on the GRE, was in the top ten percent in the LSAT and did quite well on the SAT (though I can't remember score since I took it over a decade ago now).
I look forward to working with anyone who wants to learn something.
