About Me
First of all I'm a bilingual English- Spanish speaker. It's a pleasure for me to have a different opportunity, to help a Math student because, every student has his own way to learn. Mathematics is simple, people make it difficult. My way to teach consist in 3 simple steps: 1-Solving problems by tutor alone, explaining to the student every step. 2-Solving problems by tutor and student together. 3-Solving problems by the student alone but, monitored too. I use to start the tutoring course with fractions (including mixed numbers) as, review on the first class, after this everything is like any abc... (I like the Math book says PRIMERO FRACCIONES Y LUEGO LO DEMAS, "First Fractions and After Anything"). My 18 years of teaching experiences include: Basic math, Algebra I and II, Geometry and Trigonometry at the university, High school, Middle and Elementary level together, with my passion to teach young students, make that every class be a wonderful experience. I can get along with kids as well as college student because, my hobbies (soccer: Ronaldo and Messy my favorites players and internet) help me to agree or disagree, explaining that Math is like a soccer game (El Mundial). As a bilingual speaker I take advantage of the Spanish Language to explain in 2 or 3 ways a single Math problem; an equation is like a weight just keep the balance in both sides. Talking a little more about my experiences let me say I have an Engineering Degree (Civil Engineer With Master Engineering in Hydraulics Resources.). Degrees with correspondent Equivalences in U.S.A. through The International Education Research foundation Inc. (IERF, Government Accredited Institution) valid in all the Colleges and Universities nationwide.
