About Me

I am a credentialed teacher certified to teach in both CA and TX (over 8 years of teaching experience). I have taught in the classroom (public schools and college) as well as on a one on one basis for tutorials. I have a Masters in Microbiology and Bachelors in Microbiology and Biochemistry.

I am looking forward to tutoring becauseI love learning and sharing. I like teaching science to Middle/High school students because they are capable of enjoying life's mysteries and explanations that science has to offer! Having studied and taught for several years, I have an excellent understanding of concepts in genetics, evolution, ecology, molecular biology, animal and plant biology.  I am familiar with the biology curriculum and (AP/SAT/ACT ) exam format. My job is to help students do their best. I can design my lessons to help a student who is struggling or help a student who is doing well but wants to excel.
-  discussing and analyzing his/her understanding and background of the topic/ concept

-  presenting complex concepts in a manner which is easy to understand by using diagrams, giving examples and solving problems

- reviewing concepts by summarizing and discussing questions and problems related to the concepts  

- evaluating understanding using pop quizzes and problems

 I look forward to tutoring and raising student's interest in science / confidence in his/her ability to excel. Lessons can be arranged in the library or home.
