I have a BA in History from UC Berkeley and a PhD in American Studies from SUNY at Buffalo. I have  taught English in the US and internationally. I studied Spanish in Mexico and Guatemala. I strongly believe it is as equally important to develop basic academic skills as it is to develop superior critical thinking skills. I enjoy working closely with students and assisting them in achieving their academic goals. When not tutoring and teaching, I enjoy movies, reading, and conversation with friends.
